How do I grasp Fortnite?

This can be an honest and genuine question. I have only now begun to play Fortnite together with the advent of Season 5. I haven't even played many battle royale games in any respect, really. I've played some Fortnite in squads back when that it was new and shiny (and barely anyone knew the way to utilize building). Now, for reasons uknown, I'm all in.

There's a difficulty though. I suck. Like, pretty bad. Sure, I can get top eight (I like to call that "A MySpace") often enough when I'm relatively unseen until in the end, that is no fun. Plus, the dwelling is something that may be integral for the game, and I have a tendency to think of it after I'm dead like "oh yeah, I can build stuff."

So I'm seeking help.

This isn't a guide -- not really. Obviously I am not the individual to write such a thing. But I know all of you are good advertising online. Or, no less than, know tips on how to be good. So here's the sale. I'm sure most are in the same spot as me and wish to learn tips on how to perform better in Fortnite. I'll make best advice from your comments, as tested by me, and structure them in to a guide using what I've learned on the advice as well as any impact it's got had in this little ability.
