Since we officially announced the making date of Kronos III, we’ve been inundated with questions in the community. We’re here to resolve two of probably the most frequently asked questions. What is going to become the Kronos III timeline? Is it going to have itemization? So let’s are able to it!
From the launch of Kronos III to the production of Naxxramas, we’re thinking about roughly 17 months (possibly quicker, dependant upon community effort with the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort). Veterans of Kronos will spot the much more streamlined timeline generally due to all raid content being already scripted. We’re also thrilled to announce that Kronos III will begin with only 8 debuff slots, unlike Kronos which started out with the 16 debuff slot which was eventually added later patches. We’ll move for the 16 slots configuration for the launch of Zul’Gurub.
We’ve kept track of patch releases to your greater extent than before. We will work within the principle of “item-gating”, instead of the direct “item-version-by-patch”-route. Meaning on Kronos III, items is going to be “unlocked” with the patch it had been meant to get introduced for the game, but once it really is introduced towards the game it can appear in the version that it was during patch 1.12. For example, some pieces of Molten Core will likely be unavailable before the Elemental Invasion patch, Azuregos and Kazzak may have new items unveiled in their loot-tables with the production of Alterac Valley, many pre-raid best-in-slot items won’t be introduced towards the game before much much later. Players on Kronos III are experiencing this step-by-step discharge of content into a much higher degree than had been the case on Kronos I and II.
World buffs (i.e Rallying Cry in the Dragonslayer, DMF and all of other world buffs currently inaccessible in Naxxramas on Kronos) will never be available in any raid content for your first month after its release. After the first month, world buffs will likely then be enabled in order to use inside.
With these changes as well as the streamlined timeline, we expect raid content on Kronos III to get significantly harder.
We know you almost certainly have countless questions, be assured we’ll be happy to resolve them even as we get closer to the production of the server. We hope you enjoyed reading this update knowning that it helps provide more light about how we’re attempting to improve Kronos III.
Until the very next time, stay safe friends.
