Following the huge success of the first Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am held during E3 2018, this year's event, Pro-Am 2019 has begun a nail-bitter with Airwaks and RL Grime won the second annual competition, sailing to an easy overall victory after Airwaks racked up a staggering 14 eliminations and victory royale in the first round of play.
However, there are something much different than last year.
Last Sunday, as the second day of the Fortnite Party, Epic Games started the competition consisting of 50 teams, each with a pro player and a celebrity amateur, in a series of four Duos battle royale matches, with the $3,000,000 overall prize pool all going to charities chosen by the winners.
During Game 1, Airwaks and RL Grime had carried the momentum from their 16-elimination win, "It was easy, simple as that, I don't know if it was 50 pros and 50 amateurs but I only saw 98 bots." boasted by Airwaks.
It turned out Airwaks and RL Grime to be the real winners, although the audience also got a hint of what they might see at the Fortnite World Cup with pros Aydan Conrad and BuckeFPS locked in a heated one-on-one.
Finally, the result showed that the winner was RL Grime and Airways who won $1,000,000 for charities of their choice, after reaching 23 eliminations and 40 points over the three games.
Aydan who got the second place with his celeb partners, pop act and Lost Kings, didn't go home without anything, they got $500,000 for their charities.
