How To Pick The Best Runes For Druid In WoW Classic SOD Phase 4? - Locations & Effects

Jul 23 ,2024

Each phase of World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery brings new runes to each class, and Phase 4 is no exception for Druid.

In addition to the new runes you can place in Cloak slot, you can also choose Druid Ring Runes, which can provide you with bonuses to various skills and let you feel the balance between attributes in combat.

While many new Druid Runes can be used to supplement the runes introduced in the first three phases, some of them are older or have been removed and replaced, so you can find the locations and effects of some new Druid Cloak Runes and Druid Ring Runes in this guide to help you face the battles in Phase 4.

Get Ready For WOW Season Of Discovery Phase 3 With These Key Strategies

Mar 28 ,2024

Here are some invaluable tips for players to adequately prepare for the forthcoming Phase 3 in WoW Season of Discovery. Adhering to these essential guidelines will undoubtedly facilitate a smoother gameplay in the upcoming phase.

Get Ready For WOW Season Of Discovery Phase 3 With These Key Strategies

Dungeons & Exploration

Dungeon grinding has gained popularity, particularly with Scarlet Monastery, offering efficient leveling opportunities. Dungeons such as Zul’Farrak, Maraudon, Sunken Temple are all viable options. While the potential for Maraudon or Sunken Temple to become level-up raids exists, it remains unconfirmed. Questing also plays a significant role, with locations like Booty Bay in Stranglethorn Vale offering suitable quests.

For both Horde and Alliance, Blasted Lands and Swamp of Sorrows provide additional questing opportunities. The Hinterlands stand out as a substantial questing area, with Kalimdor offering zones like Tanaris, Feralas, and Un'Goro Crater, ideal for leveling up towards Level 50. Familiarizing yourself with quests in these core zones is crucial for effective Phase 3 progression.

PvP Reputations

Another important tip to consider is focusing on PvP reputations. It's essential to grind your PvP gear and strive for an exalted reputation with Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin factions. Achieving exalted status will unlock Level 50 bracers, which are superior to their Level 40 counterparts.

You'll have access to epic bracers and other valuable items from the Arathi Basin reputation vendors, although some items may require revered status. Notably, revered gear includes boots that increase movement speed and grant attack power, as well as a girdle suitable for Level 48 characters. While attaining exalted status may take time, many players are currently farming the STV event for logs and grinding the Arathi Basin reputation to expedite the process.

Consumables & World Buffs

The next essential tip is to ensure you have an ample supply of consumables and world buffs. While Spark of Inspiration is significant, don't overlook the benefits of Darkmoon Faire, which provides a substantial 10% damage buff. Although there's a risk of losing these buffs if you die, they can significantly enhance your gameplay experience.

Notably, the Darkmoon Faire buff remains active even at Level 39, offering a slight advantage in movement speed. Therefore, strategically planning to acquire these buffs before reaching Level 40 can provide a small yet beneficial edge.

WoW Classic SOD Darkmoon Faire

Consider maximizing the efficiency of your consumables to save time and increase damage output. For instance, Firepower and Lesser Arcane can provide a notable boost without costing much of your SOD Gold. This strategy is particularly valuable for players aiming for world-first racing.

Flight Paths

Next, let's discuss the importance of obtaining essential flight paths. For Horde players, securing Stonard for Swamp of Sorrows is crucial, while Alliance players should aim for Nethergarde Keep in Blasted Lands. You may already have flight paths for Stranglethorn Vale and Booty Bay, but if not, it's advisable to acquire them. Prioritize obtaining flight paths for key locations like the Hinterlands.

Alliance players can access Aerie Peak, while Horde players can reach Revantusk Village. An efficient way for Horde players to reach Revantusk Village is by flying to Arathi Highlands, taking a boat to the coast, and swimming to Hinterlands. This method can be faster than the conventional route through Aerie Peak, especially considering the high-level mobs in the area.

Don't forget to obtain the flight path for Gadgetzan in Tanaris if you haven't already, as it can be highly beneficial. Similarly, ensure you acquire flight paths for Un'Goro Crater and Silithus while you're in the vicinity. Although Silithus is an endgame zone, acquiring the flight path early on will be advantageous for future use. Consider visiting Felwood, another endgame zone, if you're heading towards Winterspring. Whether you are Horde or Alliance, Felwood's flight path is located in the northernmost part of the zone.

Profession Planning

Another crucial tip is to have a clear profession plan for the upcoming Phase 3. With professions reaching a maximum level of 300, there will be an abundance of SOD content available. While it's uncertain if unique recipes aimed at Level 50 will be introduced, it's a possibility worth considering. It's essential to familiarize yourself with these specializations and develop a plan accordingly.

WoW Classic SOD Mooncloth

Blacksmithing and Engineering stand out as particularly significant professions, while tailoring lacks specialization. I recommend prioritize obtaining the Mooncloth recipe and the Runecloth Bag recipe from Everlook in Winterspring. These recipes were disabled in Phase 1, and their availability in Phase 2 is uncertain.

Crafting Mooncloth will be crucial due to its 4-day cooldown, requiring 250 Tailoring skill. While obtaining Felcloth may be challenging before reaching Level 50, it will become a valuable resource for crafting in Phase 3, particularly in Felwood.

Class Quests

Finally, upon reaching Level 50, players can embark on class quests, which provide unique and potent items for most classes. These quests are predominantly located in Sunken Temple, although their exact format may vary if Sunken Temple becomes the designated level-up raid.

Players unfamiliar with these class quests are encouraged to research them, as they offer powerful rewards. All class quests typically involve completing tasks across the world before culminating in Sunken Temple. Therefore, it's crucial to understand and prepare for these quests to maximize their benefits.

How To Build The Spell Power Hunter In WoW Season Of Discovery Phase 2?

Mar 22 ,2024

The notion that every item is suitable for Hunters has persisted as a joke throughout World of Warcraft's history. While often exaggerated, you may have experienced losing valuable items like Ashkandi to a Hunter in the past.

However, in the Season of Discovery, this joke holds more truth than ever before. The emergence of Melee Hunters has shifted the perception, as nearly every weapon and strength item is now coveted by Hunters. Additionally, a new build, currently demonstrating the highest simulated PPS among all ranged specializations, is the Spell Power Hunter.

In this guide, we'll delve into why this build is effective, which talents and gear to prioritize, how to optimize your spellcasting, and when it's appropriate to consider adopting this approach. To pursue this build, ensuring a substantial reserve of SoD Gold is essential for your investment.

How To Build The Spell Power Hunter In WoW Season Of Discovery Phase 2?

Why It Works?

The concept of Spell Power Hunter is not a recent development and was not exclusive to the Season of Discovery. During the Classic era, it was a tactic employed by Hunters when they perceived their guild mates and Warlocks to be enjoying too much success.

In the toolkit of Hunters, there are 3 abilities that benefit from spell power scaling:

Firstly, Arcane Shot possesses a base spell power scaling of 43.5%, meaning each point of spell power contributes 0.435 damage. Moreover, Arcane Shot boasts a crit scaling of 200%, resulting in significantly amplified damage with a critical hit, especially when augmented by the Immortal Shots talent.

The second ability influenced by spell power is Serpent Sting. Its 1:1 spell power coefficient means that each increment of spell power contributes directly to the spell's damage output. It's essential to note that this scaling applies to the entire duration of the damage over time effect, rather than individual ticks. While Serpent Sting's damage can be enhanced beyond the standard spell power scaling, we'll delve into those strategies later.

Lastly, Volley, despite its limited utility, features a spell power scaling of 33%. Although considered suboptimal in most situations, in scenarios with a high volume of enemies, such as the packs before Crowd Pummeler, Volley may prove to be a viable option, particularly with significant spell power investment.

WoW Season of Discovery Chimaera Shot

However, with the Season of Discovery, a fourth spell has emerged that benefits from spell power: Chimaera Shot. While the ability itself does not directly scale with spell power, its secondary effect, which adds damage based on Serpent Sting, does. Following recent buffs, Chimaera Shot now instantly deals 120% weapon damage and 48% of your Serpent Sting damage while also resetting the duration of Serpent Sting.

This particular detail holds more significance than one might realize. Not only does it spare you from using a global cooldown to reapply Serpent Sting constantly, but it also enables you to maintain the damage boost from your initial Serpent Sting throughout the entire encounter. This allows you to coordinate with your guild's Priest to receive Power Infusion for a 20% damage increase at the start of the fight, then equip Void-Touched Leather Gauntlets from Phase 1 for an additional 10% damage boost before applying Serpent Sting. Subsequently, you can preserve the augmented damage from this initial Serpent Sting for the duration of the battle.

In isolation, spell power still falls short of agility in terms of overall value. However, several factors contribute to its exceptional performance. With the majority of bosses in Gnomeregan possessing increased armor values, all the aforementioned abilities excel at piercing through armor.

Additionally, the accessibility of a 20% increase in nature damage through Balance Druids and Enhanced Shamans, along with the benefits derived from the Epic Fist Weapon, greatly enhance the effectiveness of Spell Power Hunters.

Build Guide

Regarding the build guide, we'll adopt a setup closely resembling the prevalent Marksmanship build with a few minor adjustments.

It's advisable to select Lone Wolf for the chest, Chimera Shot for gloves, Expose Weakness for the belt, Sniper Training for the legs, and Trap Launcher for the feet.

The efficacy of this build heavily relies on your ability to utilize Lone Wolf. While it remains feasible if you're the designated provider of Aspect of the Lion, you'll fare better with a full attack power build. Hence, ensure to arrange any necessary bribes to guarantee another party member brings that buff.

In terms of our talent selection, we opt for a specific setup. We prioritize five out of five Efficiency and five out of five Lethal Shots. Aimed Shot is also essential in our build, as even utilizing one pre-cast before the pull provides superior value compared to other options. Additionally, we allocate four out of five points to Improved Arcane Shot, five out of five to Mortal Shots, two out of five to Improved Serpent Sting, three out of three to Barrage, and five out of five to Ranged Weapon Specialization, along with Trueshot Aura.

You might question why we only invest two out of five points into Improved Serpent Sting, considering its significant role in our scaling. It's not due to the talent's inferiority, but rather because the remaining talents in the tree offer substantial benefits.

Gear Guide

In terms of gearing, here's a comprehensive overview of our recommended choices and enchantments worth considering.

Upon initial observation, you'll notice that we still incorporate several non-spell power items into our setup. For most items, the spell power alternatives offer comparable performance, with the exception of the helmet and shoulders. Therefore, if you're inclined to irk your guild's casters without compromising too much DPS, feel free to proceed.

We prioritize obtaining the 3 sets, consisting of the Irradiated Robe, Irradiated Boots, and Irradiated Trousers. Despite some pieces actively reducing our agility, this set proves superior to other options.

WoW Season of Discovery Miniaturized Combustion Chamber

Our trinket selections include the Miniaturized Combustion Chamber and Invoker's Void Pearl. If you possess the attack power version, be prepared to invest in switching to the spell power version.

Additionally, we incorporate a few Phase 1 items such as the Dagger of Willing Sacrifice and the Void-Touched Leather Gauntlets obtained through leatherworking, leveraging their initial snapshot capability. Once these gloves are on cooldown, we transition to Machinist's Gloves for encounters involving mechanical bosses.

It's imperative to secure the Glimmering Gizmoblade, which remains best in slot regardless of the specialization you're playing.

As for our off-pieces, we prioritize options that enhance spell power (such as the Volatile Concoction Belt) and improve hit chance (like the Ornate Dark Iron Bangles).

Rotation

In terms of our rotation, we initiate by activating our leatherworking gloves followed by pre-casting Aimed Shot, while ensuring we receive Power Infusion from the Priest.

Subsequently, we activate Serpent Sting, Chimaera Shot, Multi-Shot, and Immolation Trap (if not deployed before the encounter), followed by Arcane Shot.

From this point forward, our focus lies in prioritizing Chimaera Shot over Multi-Shot and Arcane Shot, while maintaining Immolation Trap continuously. Emphasizing the importance of consistently utilizing Chimaera Shot cannot be overstated, and it should never be allowed to remain off cooldown.

Additionally, strategic positioning planning is essential to maximize our uptime on Sniper Training.

When To Use it?

When should you utilize this build?

Primarily, this build proves effective whenever another party member provides Aspect of the Lion. However, if you intend to acquire spell power gear, it's crucial to communicate this beforehand, as not all participants may possess the same level of game knowledge.

Currently, spell power significantly outperforms attack power for Hunters, making it the preferred choice whenever Lone Wolf is in play.

Consumables

As for consumables, we adhere to our standard selection, including Lesser Wizard Oil on both weapons, Lesser Arcane Elixir, Elixir of Agility, and Sagefish Delight for our food buff.

WoW Season of Discovery Lesser Arcane Elixir

For those seeking additional optimization, consider abandoning any non-leatherworking professions in favor of enchanting to acquire the sigil buff. This enhancement greatly enhances Hunter performance, resulting in a notable 21 DPS increase.

In conclusion, Spell Power Hunter transcends mere meme status, and unless there are alterations to Chimaera Shot, its prominence in the game appears to be enduring.

Strategies To Maximize Damage Output For Ranged Hunters In WoW Season Of Discovery Phase 2

Mar 08 ,2024

During the Phase 2 of WoW Season of Discovery, we've encountered a significant amount of experimentation in enhancing our damage potential. As fights become increasingly brief, 2 specific builds have surfaced as optimal choices for the Ranged Hunter.

Despite the ongoing challenge of falling behind other DPS classes, like the Melee Hunter, it's crucial to recognize that competitive damage remains attainable. By utilizing Aspect of the Lion and Trueshot Aura for Marksmanship, hunters ensure their relevance within the group dynamics.

Consequently, let's delve into methods for maximizing damage output as a Ranged Hunter in SoD Phase 2.

Strategies To Maximize Damage Output For Ranged Hunters In WoW Season Of Discovery Phase 2

Beast Mastery Build

Let's begin by discussing the prevalent build found at the top of the rankings, which is likely to yield the highest damage output. However, I believe this particular spec may not be the most suitable choice for the majority of raid compositions - the Beast Mastery build

This build invests 41 points into Beast Mastery. For those who may have rushed to comment, claiming that only three out of five Frenzy points are necessary to maintain the buff, it's worth noting that there are no viable alternatives in the Beast Mastery tree for raid scenarios. Therefore, maxing out Frenzy will potentially allow for a quicker acquisition of the buff at the beginning of combat.

On the chest, Heart of the Lion is preferred if you're the sole Hunter in the group. Otherwise, Master Marksman tends to provide higher average damage.

Chimaera Shot is favored on gloves for its armor-piercing capabilities, facilitating increased crits with ranged attacks and ensuring better uptime on Exposed Weakness. So if you have enough SoD Gold, be sure to buy one!

Sniper Training is selected for legs, while Trap Launcher is chosen for feet. With this setup, your pet is anticipated to contribute around 30% of your total damage.

In combat, prioritize Chimaera Shot, followed by Multi-Shot, Immolation Trap, and Arcane Shot. Yes, we've returned to incorporating Arcane Shot into the rotation, a decision we'll delve into further in the subsequent sections of this guide.

Also Read: 4 AFK Gold Making Methods You Can't Miss In WOW Classic SOD Phase 2

Marksmanship Build

The alternative build, which I advocate for most raid groups, is the Deep Marksmanship build

In terms of our runes, we adhere to the same setup as the Beast Mastery build. However, the Master Marksman rune proves more beneficial in this configuration due to the Mortal Shots talent, which grants a 30% bonus to your critical hits. Therefore, it's advisable to switch to this rune if there is a second Hunter in your group utilizing Aspect of the Lion.

Now, why opt for MM if it seemingly yields less damage compared to BM?

Firstly, MM doesn't inherently deliver inferior damage. The prevalence of BM Hunters at the top of the logs can be attributed to the fact that MM scales more favorably with gear, which many players have yet to acquire.

Additionally, MM currently dominates several top-ranking positions for Ranged Hunters across various boss encounters. Furthermore, Trueshot Aura significantly enhances raid performance, with 50 attack power translating to an approximate 20 DPS increase for each affected member. Considering the buff extends to four individuals, BM would need to generate an additional 80 DPS to break even. However, upon scrutinizing the logs, the discrepancy between the top-ranked BM and MM isn't significant enough to justify the 80 DPS loss for the raid.

The only plausible exception arises in compositions featuring five melee characters, where your presence in the melee group may not be advantageous. Nonetheless, such scenarios are exceedingly rare during this phase.

How To Enhance DPS Potential For Both Specifications?

To enhance DPS potential for both specifications, there are several strategies we can employ.

It's essential to equip 2 one-handed weapons, namely Vanquisher's Sword and the Sentinel's Blade, and enchant both with Dismantle. This enchantment procures from ranged attacks, offering significant value. Additionally, wielding 2 weapons allows us to apply 2 Lesser Wizard Oils, granting 32 spell power. Alongside Lesser Wizard Oil, we should utilize Lesser Arcane Elixir for an extra 14 spell power. The cumulative effect of these enhancements, along with world buffs, adds considerable damage to Serpent Sting and boosts the effectiveness of Chimaera Shot and Arcane Shot.

Certain builds in the Season of Discovery utilize full spell power sets, capable of achieving impressive parses in specific fights. While currently less effective than attack power builds, they're intriguing to monitor. It's imperative to maintain an Elixir of Agility consistently, and for most encounters, activating a Sagefish Delight will benefit our DPS.

Regarding rune selection, there's little variation to discuss on a 5x5 basis. An exception arises in the Menagerie encounter, where Explosive Shot excels. Stacking all 3 mobs amplifies damage output and triggers Exposed Weakness with frequent crits. While Serpent Spread is a potential alternative, its utility is limited unless constant movement is required.

WoW SoD Explosive Shot

To optimize performance, access to a Boomkin or Enhanced Shaman, along with someone wielding the Epic Fist weapon, is advantageous. These debuffs enhance our abilities and enable us to utilize a Wind Serpent with Rank 3 Lightning Breath, outperforming other pets on mechanical bosses.

In terms of raid composition, grouping with individuals capable of maximizing damage output is paramount. Shorter kill times correlate with higher DPS. Additionally, it's beneficial to have a Priest for Homunculi, a Druid for Mark of the Wild, and a Paladin for Blessing of Wisdom and Blessing of Might. Meeting these criteria, success hinges on skill refinement and gear acquisition.

Why It's Not Wise To Exclusively Farm Heart Of Fire In Season Of Discovery Phase 2?

Mar 02 ,2024

The Heart of Fire commands a substantial price on the Auction House in SoD Phase 2, typically ranging from 15 to 25 Gear Score at present, and sometimes even higher. It's possible to acquire Heart of Fires through farming, as certain mobs include it in their drop tables.

However, I don't believe it's wise to dedicate yourself exclusively to this endeavor. Allow me to elaborate on my reasoning. My analysis pertains to Phase 2, and I anticipate a significant decrease in price during Phase 3.

Why It's Not Wise To Exclusively Farm Heart Of Fire In Season Of Discovery Phase 2?

What Factors Contribute To The Elevated Price Of The Heart Of Fire?

To begin with, why does the Heart of Fire, categorized as a white common item, command such a high price?

Its significance lies in its necessity, or rather, the requirement for two of them, in tailoring to produce Cindercloth Robes. These robes boast the highest fire spell power for a chest slot, making them optimal gear for Fire Mages, Warlocks focusing on DPS, or even tanks.

Initially, Heart of Fires flooded the Auction House during the early stages of Phase 2, likely due to drops from Fire Elementals in the Alterac Mountains. However, subsequent modifications to their drop tables led to a reduction in availability. Consequently, only a few have been spotted on the Auction House since then.

Strategies For Obtaining Heart Of Fire In SoD Phase 2

How can you obtain one or more of Heart of Fires in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2?

1. Simply By Eliminating Fire Elementals

However, at level 40, there are limited Fire Elementals that you can effectively defeat. Some of the least challenging Fire Elementals are found in Searing Gorge, typically ranging from level 45 to 48.

Personally, I attempted to defeat them, but found it to be quite challenging. I managed to defeat only one, and encountered significant resistance. Perhaps teaming up or utilizing a hunter's skills could make the task more manageable. Nonetheless, this approach didn't seem particularly efficient.

Despite this, Fire Elementals offer a better drop chance, approximately 3% per kill, compared to the alternative method I'm about to suggest.

2. Challenge Ambassador Infernus

I favor Angor Fortress in Badlands, primarily due to the presence of Ambassador Infernus, a level 42 Elite Fire Elemental with 6,000 HP.

Although the drop rate for the Heart of Fire is less than optimal, approximately 1.1% per kill according to Wowhead, Ambassador Infernus stands out as the only named mob in the area. Despite this, his spawn rate for a named quest mob is relatively decent, ranging from 2 to 5 minutes. He can be found deep within Angor Fortress, guarded by three Stone Golems and a group of Shadowforge Dwarves.

When facing Ambassador Infernus, it's important to note a couple of strategies. He has the ability to cast Searing Flames, which imposes a 9-second silence. However, this can be mitigated by utilizing Line of Sight tactics.

Additionally, Shadowforge Chanters have the ability to cast a sleep spell, which may pose a challenge for pet classes or those engaging in group combat. Nevertheless, while solo farming in this area may not be straightforward, it's certainly achievable once you establish a rhythm of eliminating spawning packs and encountering Ambassador Infernus periodically.

WoW SoD Ambassador Infernus

3. More Ways To Maximize Profits In Heart Of Fire Farming

Additionally, there are other quests, Rogue Lockboxes, and individuals farming the Shadowforge Dwarves, which may lead to potential PvP encounters.

However, in my experience, these encounters have generally been manageable. When considering the spawn rate and drop chance, you can expect to achieve approximately 12 to 25 kills per hour, with a drop occurring every 4 to 6 hours. While this may seem relatively low, luck can play a significant role, potentially resulting in obtaining multiple drops within an hour and making the endeavor profitable. Nevertheless, success hinges on chance, and outcomes can vary.

It's worth noting that farming the dwarves and golems in the area is also necessary, as they drop various items, including gray vendor trash and level 40 greens, which can fetch a good price on the auction house.

Additionally, selling raw silver, cloth, and other sellable materials can contribute to earning WoW SoD Gold. Determining a precise gold-per-hour value for this farm is challenging due to its reliance on RNG, resembling the process of farming other mobs but with the added chance of obtaining valuable Heart of Fire drops.

While I can't provide exact figures on the daily sales of Hearts of Fire, it's evident that there's demand for top-tier Spell Power gear, indicating viable markets for these items.

In conclusion, I suggest trying your luck with this farming method in Season of Discovery Phase 2, but it's essential not to invest excessive time as RNG outcomes can be unpredictable.

My Tactics For Achieving Success As A Destruction Warlock In WoW Classic Season Of Discovery Phase 2 Gnomeregan Raid

Feb 26 ,2024

This guide aims to demonstrate my strategies for excelling in the WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2 Gnomeregan raid as a Destruction Warlock

My Tactics For Achieving Success As A Destruction Warlock In WoW Classic Season Of Discovery Phase 2 Gnomeregan Raid

Talents

You'll be putting all 31 of your points in Destruction but skipping out on Conflagrate for the extra point in damage.

  • Cataclysm (5 points)
  • Bane (5 points)
  • Improved Firebolt (2 points)
  • Devastation (5 points)
  • Shadowburn (1 point)
  • Destructive Reach (2 points)
  • Improved Immolate (5 points)
  • Ruin (1 point)
  • Emberstorm (5 points)

Runes

Here are the runes I recommend you use in this build:

  • Incinerate
  • Chaos Bolt
  • Shadow and Flame
  • Demonic Knowledge
  • Lake of Fire

For your chest rune, I suggest using Lake of Fire for encounters lasting approximately one minute or less with minimal movement.

In Gnomeregan, I employ Lake of Fire primarily on the initial 4 bosses. However, for battles requiring more healing support, I opt for Master Channeler. This is particularly beneficial in encounters with significant movement.

Note that Lake of Fire loses effectiveness if enemies move beyond its range. Alternatively, in situations where additional healing assistance isn't necessary, Demonic Tactics can be utilized. This allows for maintaining the standard rotation without relying on Lake of Fire, while still remaining effective during movement.

Gear

If you have enough WoW SoD Gold, upgrade these stats on your gear:

  • 5% Hit
  • Spell Power
  • Crit
  • Intelligence
  • Stamina

I highly recommend opting for the Warlock trinket instead of the Fire Ring obtained from Stranglethorn Vale. This choice provides a greater overall increase in spell power.

WoW SoD Phase 2 Gnomeregan Raid

Professions

I suggest selecting Tailoring to obtain the Epic helmet, which offers spell power bonuses, and Engineering for the hit and crit bonuses on the Belt.

Alternatively, if you prefer the spell power buff provided by Alchemy or Enchanting, you can replace Engineering with either of these options.

Also Read: How To Level Up Rogue Quickly In WOW Classic SOD Phase 2? - Rogue Leveling Guide

Rotation

In the single target rotation, begin by initiating with Incinerate, followed by Curse of Elements and one tick of Rain of Fire. Activate any power-ups from your helmet, belt, or trinket if available, then cast Chaos Bolt. Proceed with casting Immolate and fill the rotation with Incinerate spam.

For multi-target engagements, commence with Incinerate, followed by one tick of Rain of Fire and then Hellfire. This strategy is particularly effective against groups of six or more enemies.

Warlocks possess a unique specialization for dealing with four to five targets. The top-performing logs from Menagerie currently utilize Shadow Bolt Volley with Everlasting Affliction. In this specialization, apply Curse of Elements and Corruption to all targets, then focus on spamming Shadow Bolt Volley to refresh Corruptions.

Should you encounter four to five targets and prefer not to respec, consider this rotation for battles like Menagerie: Apply Curse of Elements to each target, cast Incinerate once, apply Immolate to each target, and then utilize Chaos Bolt on cooldown.

As for pets, it's recommended to utilize the Imp for all encounters.

Macros & WeakAuras

As a beginner strategy, consider incorporating the "/pet attack" macro into specific abilities to automate your pet's actions and reduce the need for micromanagement.

In terms of WeakAuras usage, I suggest monitoring the buffs and debuffs on your target to ensure continuous application of your damage-over-time effects. Focus particularly on maintaining 100% uptime on Incinerate, Lake of Fire, Immolate, and Curse of Elements.

PvP

For PvP engagements, I suggest adhering to the current meta by utilizing Master Channeler and Demonic Grace.

Your primary focus should be on maintaining Drain Life and continuously casting Searing Pain until your target is defeated.

In the current PvP landscape, casting spells with long cast times is generally not advisable. Cloth-wearing characters like Warlocks become immediate targets for melee opponents. In certain scenarios, such as during the Stranglethorn Vale event while in Metamorphosis, I've observed that adversaries often overlook me, granting me the opportunity to accumulate a significant number of Bloods.

That's all for the Level 40 Warlock guide.

A Quick Guide To The Gnomeregan Dungeon Raid In WOW Season Of Discovery Phase 2

Here's a concise guide for the Gnomeregan raid in WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2. The Gnomeregan is significantly more challenging than the BFD raid, so understanding the mechanics for most players is crucial for a smoother clear. Now, let's dive right in.

Make sure to have sufficient SOD Gold to assist you when you get into trouble through this dungeon.

A Quick Guide To The Gnomeregan Dungeon Raid In WOW Season Of Discovery Phase 2

Grubbis

The boss at the beginning is called Grubbis. During the boss fight, Grubbis will spawn green gas that gravitates towards the closest player. Then the ads will spawn. Drag the ads into the gas, and the gas will disappear. Moreover, the ads will die. Don’t let the boss get hit by the gas, or he will get a buff. The off-tank should tank the Basilisk as he occasionally drops threat.

This boss is a bit of a DPS race because he starts to spawn a lot more gas clouds, and they pulse AOE damage the longer the fight goes on. I recommend Nature Protection Potions before the pull and maybe reapply one at 30%. Grubbis enrages at 20% health, and he hits really hard, so use a cooldown. You’ll still need to kill his Basilisk when the fight ends.

Vicious Fallout

Clear ads and find a suitable spot where you can tank the boss away from the Desiccated Fallout bindings on the ground. The boss will spawn 3 eradicated Goo that move towards the bindings. The Goo can be CCed, so use slows and stuns. Kill the Goo before they reach the bindings, or they will spawn a Desiccated Fallout. These mobs respawn with 6K health and cast spells at the raid. The boss will also continue to spawn gas clouds underneath him, so make sure you move him out of the gas or your melee will die.

Crowd Pummeler

Throughout this boss fight, Cogwheels will spawn and roam around the map. Don’t get hit by them. He also casts Gnomeregan Smash, which is a frontal that will knock players off the map and one-shot you. Look at what way his feet are pointing, not his hands, and never stand in front of him. At 25%, he will start charging a random player, and this ability will deal lots of damage, so make sure to heal them.

Electrocutioner

Clear out the ads and have the tank pull them against the wall. If you get the Negative Charge, run away from the group. If the tank gets the Negative Charge, just stay against the wall. The boss will cast Chain Lightning on the farthest player away from him, and the 2 closest players will get a debuff. If you get this debuff twice, you will die.

You’ll need to have 2 groups of 3 take turns being the farthest away from the boss. Once you get hit by the debuff, your group should move closer to the boss and have the second group move further away. If a person in the further away group is supposed to be soaking and they get a Negative Charge, send someone else to soak the Chain Lightning in their place.

Managerie

You need to kill all these mobs or they will respawn and keep respawning with 6K health. The Sheep boss cast an AOE Stun, so move away from it and have range DPS this one down. Have the off-tank grab the Dragon boss. The Dragon will occasionally cast a Flame Breath frontal, so don’t get hit by it.

The main tank will tank the Chicken boss and the Squirrel boss. The Squirrel will throw out random group damage, and the Chicken will spawn an egg that your group should DPS down. If your casters are going oom, they can click the red buttons on the pillars and trade health for Mana once every 30 seconds. Remember to kill them all at the same time.

Mekgineer Thermaplugg

Now, let's discuss the final boss - Mekgineer Thermaplugg. This boss has 4 phases:

Fire Phase: Tank him in the open area and run him away when he channels the Flamethrower. If you get hit by the flame, it will stack ramping fire debuffs on you, and you’ll eventually die. These fire stacks do fall off after 15 seconds, so you can have a Hunter pet taunt or the off-tank taunt until the main tank loses his stacks.

WOW Classic SOD Mekgineer Thermaplugg

When the bombs spawn on you, you need to quickly press the red button underneath the pillar that they’re spawning from. Range DPS with movement are the best for this, but your healers may also want to click because it gives them Mana back. Make sure to kill the bombs before they hit someone so they don’t explode.

Frost Phase: The boss will cast AOE stacks of Frost damage in this phase. The more stacks that you have, the more damage the tank takes from the AOE, and the slower you move. If the bombs explode, they also leave Frost patches on the ground, which gives stacks if you step on it. The frost stacks can be dispelled by a Priest, but you can also pop Free Action Potions on this phase to avoid extra damage.

Poison Phase: Tank him in the middle of the platform underneath the vent. He will channel an AOE damage ability that does not have a castbar, but you do need to kick it or the group will wipe. If the bombs explode, they’ll leave poison on the ground, so make sure to avoid it.

Ultimate Phase: In this phase, he does all the mechanics from the previous 3 phases at the same time. This time he won’t die at 50%, so you need to take him to zero, and then the Goblin will jump out of the mech, and you’ll need to kill him as well.

Explore The 5 Most Effective Approaches For Gold-Making In WOW Season Of Discovery

Jan 30 ,2024

Numerous players express a keen interest in gold-making, so I am going to present you this comprehensive guide to make gold. I will elucidate the paramount methods, outlining the top 5 strategies for gold-making in the WoW Season of Discovery. Without wasting time, let's delve directly into this significant topic.

I’m going to list them in order, from the least best to the best method on how to actually make SOD Gold.

Explore The 5 Most Effective Approaches For Gold-Making In WOW Season Of Discovery

5. Professions

So first up, we have professions. Now, professions are a good way to make a lot of gold. When you’re doing this, I highly recommend using TSM, which is an add-on, and it’s short for Trade Skill Master. This will give you a bunch of information about the crafts and all the different professions to know which ones are profitable. You would craft these and then sell them at the auction house.

Another method for professions is to go Enchanting and do work for people. In return, they will give you tips, and this is a great way to make some gold on the side. I’ve made up to 30 gold per hour doing this, just AFKing, spamming a macro that will post in trade chat saying I’m an enchanter looking for work. People will come up, ask for work, and they will tip you, and that is how you make gold with it.

4. Summons

Moving on to number 4, this is going to be selling summons. Now, this requires 3 accounts, and they all need to have a membership. They all need to have an active subscription, so you can all be logged in at the exact same time. What you’re going to be doing is posting in a trade chat that you want to sell a summon to whichever location. Now, there are many different locations you can actually sell summons to, like all the major cities, and you can do it in places where there are runes in Season of Discovery that can work very well.

But there are a bunch of different locations. What I’d recommend doing to find the best is to look in trade chat and see what everyone is looking to buy. If you see a bunch of people looking to buy summons to Stormwind, you’ll go ahead, and then you will set up and sell from Stormwind. If people are looking to go to Ratchet, for example, then you would set one up over there.

3. Gold Farms

Then let's talk about the third-best way to make gold is with gold farms. Now, the downside of this is that you’re going to have to trade your time for gold. Basically, you’ll have to spend a decent amount of time actually farming to make your gold. There are a bunch of different gold farms in Season of Discovery, and there are always new ones popping up.

WoW Classic SOD Gold Farms

But there are always new gold farms that are popping up, especially in Phase 2. There will be a bunch of new gold farms that will pop up, and these are the best ways to spend a lot of time and make some steady gold.

2. Boosting

The second-best method is going to be boosting. So if you don’t already have a Mage, I highly recommend leveling up a Mage. Because Mage is the best class to do all the boosting in the game, and in every single phase, Mage will remain the kings of boosting. Now, boosting is good because it goes up with inflation. The more gold people have, the more they’re willing to pay to boost their alts and their characters for fast leveling, and AFK leveling.

A lot of people will opt in to buy boost just so they can AFK maybe on their second account while they do something else and still get XP and levels. It’s also one of the quickest ways to level characters, so that is why a lot of people buy these. For example, Stockades at the moment, people pay up to like 5 gold per run, and Wailing Caverns up to 8 gold per run. So selling that, you can make a lot of gold.

1. Flipping

The best way to make gold in Season of Discovery is by far flipping. Flipping is where you buy an item for cheap and then you resell it for a higher price, and you keep the profit in between. Now, this is easier said than done. However, I do have a guide that would teach you exactly how to do this, what you want, and what you actually need to do this. When you’re flipping, TSM makes the entire process 100 times easier, and once you have it all set up correctly, it pretty much does all the hard work for you.

Everything You Need To Know About Waylaid Supplies In WoW Season Of Discovery

Dec 28 ,2023

The Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic introduces various new mechanics, among which the Waylaid Supplies system stands out. These items allow players to unlock rewards with a newly introduced faction, offering coveted Runes tailored for all nine classes.

For those curious about the purpose of Waylaid Supplies, this guide aims to elucidate their use. It covers how to obtain them, fulfill their requirements, and details the rewards obtained by turning in Unfilled or Completed Supplies to the vendors affiliated with the new factions.

Of course, you may encounter many challenges in the process of collecting Waylaid Supplies. But if you have enough SoD Gold, these problems can be easily solved. Because you can use gold to buy some good weapons and armor to equip yourself!

Everything You Need To Know About Waylaid Supplies In WoW Season Of Discovery

Waylaid Supplies Overview

Waylaid Supplies represent unique seasonal items that players can gather and exchange for reputation within a new faction.

These supplies can be obtained from diverse sources and require players to provide various crafted items. Upon filling a Waylaid Supplies with the required items, the rewards upon turn-in increase. However, players also have the option to turn in these supplies empty.

For Alliance players, reputation is earned with the Azeroth Commerce Authority, while Horde members provide their Waylaid Supplies to Durotar Supply & Logistics. The representatives/vendors for these factions can be found near or in close proximity to the Auction House in each capital city.

Ways To Get Waylaid Supplies

Players can obtain Waylaid Supplies through two primary methods: slaying mobs or opening chests.

Chests appear to be the more efficient way to acquire them, although players may chance upon one or two during dungeon runs or while undertaking world quests involving mobs.

Higher-level Waylaid Supplies are typically found in corresponding higher-level zones. During Phase 1, players should seek chests and engage in mob grinding in max-level areas like Duskwood, Ashenvale, Redridge, Stonetalon, Thousand Needles, and the Wetlands.

How To Complete Waylaid Supplies?

Each Waylaid Supplies box has distinct requirements.

Some might demand the collection of 20 Healing Potions, while others might require 6 Copper Shortswords. Some tasks could be as straightforward as gathering 20 Copper Ore or Peacebloom.

Players have the option to turn in an unfilled or partially-filled Waylaid Supplies box for minimum or partial rewards, usually granting around 100 to 200 reputation, a small amount of XP, and some silver. By gathering the necessary materials or items and interacting with the Crate, players can complete it.

Upon completing a Waylaid Supplies box, it transforms into a Supply Shipment. Players can carry multiple Supply Shipments, and upon turn-in, they yield enhanced rewards.

Notably, a completed Supply Shipment does not count towards the limit of carrying one Waylaid Supplies at a time during the Season of Discovery.

Waylaid Supplies Cap & Farming Methods

During the Season of Discovery, players can generally carry only one Waylaid Supplies at a time, a restriction typically applying to unfilled ones. However, players can possess numerous Supply Shipments, including one completed crate alongside an unfilled one.

Farming Waylaid Supplies primarily involves seeking Treasure Chests near a capital city or flight point. Chests respawn approximately every 10 to 15 minutes in the open world. Given that chests offer the most consistent Waylaid Supplies in WoW SoD and do not require filling for partial rewards, camping a chest spawn location proves to be an effective strategy. Players can continuously travel back and forth between a nearby Capitol City, making round trips to gather these supplies.

For Alliance players, convenient chest locations are found in Westfall and Redridge, near Sentinel Hill and Lakeshire. Horde players can focus on northern Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains, especially in Quillboar camps.

Rewards From Waylaid Supplies -  XP, Gold & New Reputation

Turning in both unfilled and completed Waylaid Supplies grants players multiple rewards, primarily reputation with the Azeroth Commerce Authority or Durotar Supply & Logistics

As players progress through reputation ranks with these factions, they unlock new rewards available for purchase from the new Supply vendors situated outside Auction Houses.

At the Friendly rank, players receive 1 Rune for every class (2g), along with a unique 10-slot bag and uncommon Leather Boots, Cloth Gloves, and Mail Belt.

Upon reaching Honored, they obtain a unique 12-slot bag, additional gear, and Tailoring/Blacksmithing patterns.

Rewards for Revered and Exalted ranks are yet to be disclosed.

Turning in Waylaid Supplies grants reputation, along with a small amount of silver and XP. The silver and XP rewards are nominal, seldom exceeding 15 silver or 90 XP for an unfilled turn-in. Unfilled Waylaid Supplies usually reward around 100 to 200 reputation with the Azeroth Commerce Authority or Durotar Supply & Logistics.

Completed Supply Shipments do not offer substantially more silver or XP but triple or even quadruple the reputation, providing around 400 to 800 reputation. Filling these Supply Shipments can be costly based on Auction House prices, and players might not always possess the exact materials required upon picking them up. It proves more efficient and cost-effective to turn in unfilled Waylaid Supplies to the vendors and only complete them if the necessary items are readily available or easily crafted with the character's professions.
